WASHINGTON, DC – Capital Oral and Facial Surgery Center in Washington, DC proudly sponsors The Army 10-Miler Race on October 21, 2012. The event takes place on Sunday, October 21st, 2012. The race starts at 8:00 am at the Pentagon. The Army 10-Miler is one of United States largest 10-mile races. Both civilians and military personnel may participate as runners in the event.

Dr. Virginia Lee of Capital Oral and Facial Surgery Center, who sponsored a team of 10-12 runners coming from all over the U.S., with John Ledden as the Team Captain, says,

We are proud to support this very fine group of people who have stood up for us and for our country.  We urge all of you to join us October 21, 2012 to help raise money for this very worthwhile cause of helping disabled Army Rangers and their families.

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Capital Oral and Facial Surgery Center hosted a fundraiser with John Ledden at the Marks Center (4800 Mark Center Dr., Alexandria, VA 22311).  Amy Chung, of Capital Oral and Facial Surgery Center, was on hand selling T-shirts. She sold them all, with the proceeds going to the Lead the Way Fund and the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Lead the Way Fund was established to raise funds for disabled Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have passed away or have been injured. This includes assisted and recovery programs for Rangers and families.

Donations are always warmly appreciated. Those of you who would like to make a donation, go to: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/DoDOIGATMTeam/army-ten-miler2012

The Wounded Warrior Project is a program created to aid injured soldiers. Their mission is to provide rehabilitative and transitional programs to help each adapt to life after serving.
